FAITH Homeschool
Co-op
Families Active In Teaching At Home
About Us
FAITH Homeschool co-op began as a group of like-minded homeschool families who joined together to assist one another in the educational endeavors of their children. It is not designed to mimic public or private school. Instead it serves to give families a needed supplement to what they are learning at home and to provide classes that are more along the lines of skills or fun based along with academic.
Our goal is not to provide all a student must have but instead provide options and classes to round out what they may be learning at home. Because of this we do require parents to be involved in every aspect of our coop day.
About our Coop Day
FAITH meets once a week from Mid-August through April, breaking for Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, and Spring Break.
Our class times run from 8:30 am-3:00pm and we offer classes for K-12th. We try and offer a mix of electives and core classes for each age group. Parents are expected to be active participants in the coop day by teaching, helping in classes, cleaning, helping at the check-in table, and other duties as needed. Our coop is most successful when all members are active and contributing to the group.
What we believe
Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible is inspired by God without error and has authority for our lives.
-
We believe God created the earth and mankind.
-
We believe that God eternally exists, in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, all being equal in Power and Glory.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died and buried, rose bodily from the grave, and now reigns with the Father.
-
We believe that mankind is sinful by nature, but can be forgiven and changed by faith in Jesus as Savior who gives us eternal life.
-
We believe that salvation is received as a free gift from God.
-
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts men of their need of salvation, gives them new life and continues to direct their lives.
-
We believe marriage is the union of one biological man and one biological woman established by God for the purpose of companionship and procreation.
