How does our co-op operate?

Our co-op operates through the work of parents who volunteer their time to teach, lead, and serve each other. Without parents our co-op would cease to operate. Each family is required to serve in some capacity whether that is serving as a board member, teaching or assisting in classes, setting up for the day, cleaning or helping with events.

What classes do we offer?

Classes offered each year will vary according to who volunteers to teach and the needs of families.

We strive to offer classes for as many ages as possible and across a variety of subjects and interests.

Core High school classes that have been offered in the past have included science, math, language arts, and fine arts; middle school and elementary classes have ranged from science, history, language arts, STEM, and crafts.

We have also offered fun classes like dance, theatre, fencing, Historical Conquest (history card game), and have had knitting, cross stitch, leather working, and piano lessons.

Every year offers a different mix of classes. Parents are encouraged to teach according to their strengths, the interests and needs of their children, and the interests of all families.

Please see our Classes page for a link to the current academic year offerings.
